Choosing the right tire casing for your riding style might be confusing and complicated sometimes. First of all: All our tires are tubeless ready (TLR).
We try to simplify choosing the right casing and only offer three different casing options for our mountain bike tires: GRC Gravity Casing, TRC Trail Casing, XCC Cross Country Casing.
For our Gravel tires we only offer one casing option: our GEC Gravel Endurance Casing.
The GRC casing technology is optimized to offer the rider the best possible comfort on the trail paired with a high degree of puncture protection. Ideal for Enduro and Downhill riding. But also recommended for rear tires on eMTBs.
120 tpi casing layer
Dual-ply reinforcement
Anti-pinch-flat protection
Nylon reinforcement layer around the bead
Foldable Kevlar beads
Tubeless Ready (TLR) rubber coating
The TRC casing is the perfect compromise between low weight and puncture protection. It’s the perfect choice for a wide field of application ranging from Trail to All Mountain and therefore optimal for most bikes and riding styles.

60 tpi single-ply casing
Foldable Kevlar beads
Tubeless Ready (TLR) rubber coating
The XCC casing is optimised for maximum speed and low weight. The choice for Cross Country and Marathon riders.

As important as the right casing is it to have the right rubber compound. ONZA tires* feature a dual compound rubber construction, meaning they consist out of two different rubber compounds with certain properties. By changing these properties to each field of application maximum performance can be achieved for every tire. On our mountainbike tires we offer two different options: Soft and Medium Compound.
* This is correct for all our mountain bike tires except the white Porcupine. This one only comes in Single Compound rubber 60, so 60a rubber on the entire tread. And the Grava, this ones also comes with 60a only.
Literally: More grip to rip! The combination of a 50a rubber compound in the center and sticky 45a rubber on the side knobs is the right choice for all gravity oriented riders looking for ultimate grip on rocks and roots.
50a rubber on the centre for the ideal mix of high grip and rolling speed
Soft 45a compound on the side knobs for high cornering grip
60a rubber compound in the center and sticky 45a side knobs provide the best combination of low rolling resistance, grip and low wear. Perfect for all applications from Cross Country to Trail to All Mountain.
60a rubber for the centre tread for fast rolling and low wear
Soft 45a compound on the side knobs for high cornering grip
